What to do:

1) Decide what you pledge to give up

2) Tell UNICEF OSU about your pledge here

3) Share refugee stories via social media and explain that you pledging to give up something on their behalf.

Here are some story templates you can share:

You can even research and share stories on your own!

4) Tell your families and friends and encourage them to join you.

Extraordinary pledgers will be featured on the UNICEF OSU website!

Challenge yourself to give up something because:

  • Refugees have had to give up everything for their safety, from their homes, to their friends, to their clothes and toys, and sometimes even their dignity.

  • To learn about yourself. Are you able to give up something as simple as your cup of coffee or a bit of your time to put life into perspective?

  • You can also help fundraise to provide refugees with shelter, clean water, clothes, and education

Conversation about the Refugee Crisis is losing momentum. With the past terrorist attacks committed by extremists, people fear refugees now more than ever, but we must remember the amount of the refugees that are innocent people, which include mostly women and children.

The "I Pledge Campaign" aims to fundraise, bring social awareness, and educate the masses on behalf of those that are most affected, particularly children.

The concept is simple: UNICEF OSU is asking pledgers to give up something on behalf of a refugee that has given up so much more in lieu of the current events that have been going on in our world. Join us. #IPledgeForEveryChild
